Our third year project started in the beginning of summer. After some very good feedback in our second year presentation and a meeting with myself, Dayna, Robin, Iain and Brodie in which we discussed where the project should go, we decided to continue the project on into third year's professional project with myself, Doug, Brodie and Michael.
Our game was a 2D co-op puzzle platform game with a rock character and paper character. We have fleshed out the narrative and design since second year. Basic gameplay is the same but the paper character is now a flower character as this makes more sense in the forest environment.
The story is now that our rock character and flower character travel through the forest trying to lift and decaying/sleeping curse cast by a corrupted flower character.
The whole group has been very active in contributing over summer and most of our ideas have developed through group chats, meetings and brainstormings. The designs and ideas we have produced have been very collaborative and end results are often due to a collaboration of work.
Brodie was team lead over summer due to her natural leadership however as a group we have decided to get a producer on board as Brodie does not want to deal with the responsibilities of a producer as well as doing her own art work, which is understandable.
